Why Kenya

Africa's greatest wildlife stage.

Kenya is the original safari destination and, for most travellers, still the best. The Masai Mara National Reserve offers Big Five sightings year-round, with the added spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration from July to October — one of the planet's greatest natural events.

Beyond the Mara, Kenya has remarkable diversity: elephants beneath Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, rhinos and flamingos at Lake Nakuru, rare species in Samburu, vast wilderness in Tsavo, and exclusive conservancy experiences in Laikipia.

All within a country with excellent infrastructure, warm hospitality, and Nairobi as an easy hub for international connections.

Frequently Asked Questions

Kenya safari — your questions answered.

Kenya is a year-round destination. The peak season is July to October when the Great Migration is in the Masai Mara and conditions are dry. January and February are also excellent — lower prices, fewer crowds, and calving season in Amboseli. Avoid April and May (long rains) unless you're on a tight budget.
Kenya safari packages start from approximately $940 per person for a 3-day budget option. Mid-range safaris (boutique lodges, private vehicle) typically cost $300–$600 per person per day. Luxury private conservancy safaris range from $600–$1,500+ per person per day. We provide fully itemised quotes with no hidden costs.
A minimum of 3–4 days is recommended to experience the Masai Mara. For a comprehensive Kenya safari covering Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Lake Nakuru, plan for 7–10 days. If you want to add cultural experiences and northern Kenya, 12–14 days gives you time to truly settle into the pace of the bush.
Most nationalities can obtain a Kenya e-Visa online before travel. Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from a yellow fever endemic country. We recommend consulting your doctor or travel health clinic 6–8 weeks before travel. Malaria prophylaxis is also advisable for most safari areas.
Our packages typically include all accommodation, meals as specified, game drives with a professional KPSGA-rated guide, park and conservancy fees, airport transfers, and 24/7 in-country support. International flights, visas, travel insurance, and personal spending are generally not included. Every quote is fully itemised.
