Maun Airport to Maun

You will be picked up at the airport and depart to the accommodation in Maun. This area attractions include a renowned riverboat that offers cruises up and down the Thamalakane river; the forest groves of the Maun game reserve; and Moremi game reserve, home to hippos, lions and rhinos. After checking in and freshening up then you will depart in the afternoon for a Mokoro excursion which lasts for about 2 hours. You will return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Maun

You will have breakfast and then head out for game drive. You will view some of Africa’s wildlife and can have several stops to take pictures and explore effortlessly. You will be back for lunch and after lunch you will have a well-deserved rest as you utilize the facilities at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Maun to Khwai Community Area

After breakfast, you will depart Maun to Khawai. The Khwai area of the Okavango lies along the northern boundary of the Moremi game reserve. Throughout the drive, you will have the opportunity to see and take pictures of animals roaming freely. This is an unfenced boundary allowing wildlife to move freely between the woodlands in the wet season when water is plentiful and back to permanent rivers and lagoons in the dry season. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Khwai Community Area

You will have breakfast and then set out for an excursion around Khwai. Along, you’ll watch ladies weaving baskets in the village and observe carpenters at work, as well as visit the local curio shop where all the baskets and woodcarvings are available for sale. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Khwai Community Area to Makgadikgadi

You will have breakfast and then depart to Makgadikadi salt pans which is set in the heart of the dry savanna of northeastern Botswana, the Makgadikgadi salt pan is the world’s largest network of salt pans stretching over 12,000 square kilometers and formed on the bed of the ancient Makgadikgadi lake that began evaporating years ago. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Makgadikgadi Salt Pan Area

After breakfast, you will head out for game drives, bird watching and historic trails to the greater Makgadikgadi salt pan area. Featuring wild open plains and mesmerizing view of the pan, game drive is one of the exciting things to do in Makgadikgadi Pans. Experience the view of large herds of antelope converging on the great lakes to drink and play. Thousands of flamingos also crowd the pans as they are filled with water making the scenic view breathtaking. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Makgadikgadi Salt Pans to Nata

You will depart to Nata after breakfast, Nata is the unique landscape that surrounds the area, around Nata features; white sand, tall termite mounds and the Mokolwane palm trees. Nata is a convenient stop for tourists offering breathtaking scenic beauty and numerous wildlife at a go. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Nata Area

After breakfast, you set out to the Nata bird sanctuary for a full day adventure. The Nata bird sanctuary was developed at the mouth of the Nata River in the extreme northeast of Sua pan. It is home to many species of African mammal wildlife and most importantly the African birds. From flamingoes, Pelicans, Ducks, Geese, Ostriches to Kingfisher Eagles, Spoon Bills, this bird sanctuary in Botswana has everything to offer to its visitors. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Nata to Chobe National Park

You will have a game drive throughout Chobe to their accommodation in Chobe. The Chobe river forms the northern boundary of the Chobe national park, renowned for its diverse and abundant game viewing opportunities. This section of the park is best known for its dense concentration of wildlife including elephant and hippo populations, but the waters attract all manner of game including large herds of buffalo and the lions that prey on them. After Arrival clients will go on a guided bush walk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Chobe National Park

You will have breakfast and then have a full-day game drive in the Chobe national park. Expected animals to see are lions, wild dogs, cheetah, leopards, giraffes, bushbucks, blue wildebeests and huge numbers of hippo. Return back to the lodge after a long day of game viewing for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Chobe River front

You will grab breakfast and then head out for an excursion to Chobe river front. The Chobe Riverfront is the northern most part of the Chobe National Park running along the length of the Chobe River. This is where the four countries of Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe meet and is also where the Zambezi and Chobe rivers converge. You will have plenty time to enjoy wild animals along the river and can also do some optional activities if you so wish. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Chobe River Front to Kasane

You will have breakfast in the morning and depart to the Kasane airport to catch your flight back home. This marks the end of this spectacular Botswana wildlife and adventure safari with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures.
