Windhoek to Sossusvlei

Guest will be picked up at the airport and depart to Sossusvlei area. Along the way you will have a stop-over at Rehoboth where you will have an opportunity for refreshment with lunch enroute. Upon arrival, you will relax before going on sundowner drive to Elim dune. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Sossusvlei

You will wake up and have breakfast before going for Sossusvlei excursion which includes; Dune 45, Deadvlei, Hiddenvlei and Big daddy. The tour guide will have regular stops to let you take pictures and have some exposure of the dunes. You will be back in good time for a hearty lunch and afterwards, with less activities in the afternoon you will just relax and enjoy the facilities at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Sossusvlei to Swakopmund

You will depart to Swakopmund early in the morning from Sossusvlei. It’s about 5 hours’ drive. Once you arrive in Walvis Bay you will have lunch enroute to Swakopmund. Upon arrival to Swakopmund you will check in and taken by the guide through the activities of the day; quad biking and sand boarding which is about a 2-hour activity. After the activity you will go freshen up for dinner at the restaurant.

Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe

After breakfast, grab your camera and take advantage of the morning sunrise to take pictures. Upon arrival at Spitzkoppe, this beautiful area is a hikers’ and rock climbers’ paradise and the view from the top of the peak is an incredible reward for the efforts used to get there. For history buffs, organized guided walks are available where a guide will take you to view some of the numerous rock art sites, explaining the stories captured in the ancient drawings.

Spitzkoppe to Twyfelfontein

You will have breakfast and then head to Damaraland by which the major attractions that are sacred in Spitzkoppe, the Brandberg, Twyfelfontein, Vingerklip and the other worldly petrified forest. Visitors can catch a glimpse of the rare desert-adapted elephant, and enjoy spectacular stargazing in crystal-clear night skies from one of the many safari camps dotting Damaraland. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Twyfelfontein to Etosha National Park

You will be picked up in the morning and depart to Etosha arriving in good time for lunch. After lunch, if time permits, enter Etosha for an afternoon game drive. Depending on how often you stop today, on entering the park, the first stop would be Okaukuejo where park clearance is done and I suggest you pop in at the local shop to purchase some drinks and snacks and most importantly, a map of Etosha which will show you all the waterholes along the way. Etosha has lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, springbok and elephants. This on top of many lesser and common plains herds and abundant birds makes game viewing in Etosha effortless. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Etosha National Park

Early breakfast and then head out on a full day game drive. Lunch inside the park and continue with the game drive until late in the afternoon. After the game drive you will have leisure time to enjoy the atmosphere before dinner. Overnight at the lodge.

The Etosha National Park is Namibia’s premiere game viewing destination well known for its wildlife such as lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, antelope species: oryx, kudu, eland, wildebeest, impala and many more animals. A good number of birds species have also been recorded in Etosha National park. There are several springs and waterholes that provide excellent game viewing and fantastic photographic opportunities.

Etosha to Waterberg

You will grab an early breakfast and depart to Waterberg in northern central Namibia, named after the springs that emanate from its foothills, the Waterberg plateau national park is a fascinating geological site featuring compressed sandstone crags, 200 million-year-old dinosaur footprints, and petrified sand dunes. The area has natural water sources that make it far more fertile than its environs, and the park is blessed with a plethora of plant and animal species, including leopards, rhinoceros, vultures, cheetahs, bush babies, ferns and fig trees.

Waterberg to Windhoek

You will refresh in the morning and depart after breakfast to the Airport. This marks the end of this amazing ten days Namibia wildlife and adventure safari with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures.
