Tour Overview

This seven day safaris takes you to the most interesting corners of Uganda's cultural sites, historical sites and natural monuments. You will visit Kampala cultural sites, Jinja, Fort Portal, Karambi tombs, QENP and then a visit to Banyankole cultural sites..

 

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala cultural sites

This first day you will be taken to the cultural sites around Kampala city which include the Kasuba tombs where Buganda kings and royals are buried, Kabaka's lake and Palace, Nagalabi coronation site, Nakasero Green Market, Uganda Museum, Cultural Market, Bahai temple, and many other interesting sites. Later you will be entertained with traditional cultural dances.

Day 2: Jinja Tour

After your hearty breakfast, you will drive to Namugongo Shrines and to Sezibwa falls before arriving in Jinja. While in Jinja you will have an opportunity to visit the white Nile and Bujagali falls and later return to Kampala.

Day 3: Fort Portal.

Leave for  Fort Portal with stop over at Nakayima tree in Mubende, here you will be told interesting stories about the existance of the tree.

Day 4: Cultural tour.

You will visit “Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru” (Breasts of Nyinamwiru) which is a cultural site. You will also have the chance to visit the King’s palace, the Karambi tombs, and in the afternoon, take a community walk to the nearby villages.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking & Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Day 6: Game Drive and transfer to Mbarara.

Early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and later in transfer to Mbarara

Day 7: Banyankole Cultural sites

After breakfast visit cultural sites in Mbarara which include the Banyankole Kingdom shrines. You will also visit the Banyankole homestead and learn more about their culture, ways of life and the general life style. After this you head back to Kampala.
