Tour Overview

This safari offers a very wide range of wildlife viewing activities all year round. It will give you a taste of Kenya’s great wilderness, the itinerary is known as the best of Kenya. You will be able to see all the big five and many other savannah plain animals. You will also be able to see several species of African birds. The welcoming warmth of the Kenyan people during this safari is unmatchable.


Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

You will be picked up and drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the camp or lodge. After lunch you will head for afternoon game drive in the game reserve which is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. You will easily spot the big five, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/lodge.

Days 2 & 3: Maasai Mara

Two full days spent viewing the annual spectacular wildebeest migration. The famous mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type of wild life to be found in Kenya, lunch is served in the park at the Mara river, after lunch continue with your game drive covering the park into sections, return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Masai Mara - Naivasha

After breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch, After lunch, visit Hells Gate National Park or Cresent Island. In the evening you will have an option for a boat ride to see the hippos.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru

Leave after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru, the home of millions of flamingoes and the home of the white and black rhino and about 350 different species of birds. It is also known as Ornithological Paradise. Dinner and overnight in Nakuru

Day 6: Lake Nakuru - Bogoria - Baringo

After breakfast drive to Bogoria where the hot water spring abound and plenty of medical springs. The landscape has been referred to as " nature's studio", because of the dramatic backdrop of the eastern wall of the Great rift Valley. After lunch, visit Lake Baringo with a boat trip to see various species of birds and very ancient caves.

Day 7: Lake Baringo - Samburu

Depart for Samburu in the morning after breakfast via Thomson's Falls arriving in time of Lunch. Afternoon you will head to the reserve for a game drive returning to the camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the campsite

Day 8: Samburu

After breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch, with another game drive in the evening. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Samburu - Mt. Kenya

After breakfast, leave Samburu for Mt. Kenya (Nanyuki) arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, visit the Mau Mau Caves (where Kenyan Freedom Fighters did hide from the British Troops during the struggle for independence).

Day 10: Mt. Kenya - Amboseli via Nairobi

After breakfast, drive past the biggest open-air market in East and Central Africa (Karatina). Proceed to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch in one of the restaurants. Continue to Amboseli via Kenya/Tanzania border (Namanga) arriving in Amboseli late afternoon. An evening game viewing is offered. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Amboseli

Early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast have a whole day game viewing with packed lunch. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Amboseli - Tsavo West

After breakfast drive via Chyulu Hills to Tsavo West National Park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive and a visit to Mzima Springs (the source of drinking water for Mombasa).

Day 13: Tsavo West - Tsavo East

After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous Man eating Lions(during the building of the Kenya/Uganda Railway in 1890). Lunch on arrival. After lunch you will go for game drive returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 14: Nairobi/Mombasa

After breakfast, leave Tsavo East either to Mombasa or Nairobi.
